Our philosophy at Sunset Homes is that of an assisted living experience which is dedicated to providing a home where the elderly receive individualized attention from two resident
Care Providers. Guided by a team of professionals, the residents soon realize that they are living in a private home where their needs are satisfied in an efficient & conscious manner. This is accomplished through a program that promotes independence & meets the needs of each client through the use of compassion and sensitivity.

Placement - Each home is comprised of residents based on their alertness and ability to function during the activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, dressing capabilities & ability to walk. All residents are assessed prior to admission and following a visit to a home. Then our professional staff together with the family members will make the decision as
to which facility is most appropriate.

Placing a parent or elderly relative in a home is a traumatic experience for both you & your loved one. Feelings of fear, anger, rejection, & abandonment are common. This is a time of adjustment for the entire family & it is normal to question the decision that is being made. The staff of Sunset Homes are available to assist you through this adjustment period, so please speak to us about your concerns. Once your loved one realizes that their family and staff are united in their best interest, the negative feelings subside and they begin to adjust to their new surroundings.
